Thank you for attending our inaugural fundraising gala, An Evening at Nipissing: Together for Students, benefitting the Student Support Fund. The sold-out event was the culmination of an eight-month fundraising campaign for the Student Support Fund, resulting in over $600,000 for the cause. Thanks to your generosity, this fund will remain a permanent resource for students and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students when they need it most.

Our students
are Nipissing University - we simply wouldn’t exist without them. Access to education is an important value at Nipissing and we believe that personal finances should not be a limiting factor for our students. We know, however, that from time-to-time unexpected life challenges arise that create barriers for students to continue their studies. The Student Support Fund provides students with urgent financial assistance to help cover immediate, essential expenses as a result of an emergency.
Areas of support may include:
- Family crisis
- Food insecurity
- Housing insecurity as a result of an emergency
- Exceptional life circumstances (illness in family, fire, flood etc.)
- Urgent travel due to emergency
