Support Indigenous student success

Nipissing University is a leader in the field of Indigenous education and has built respectful and reciprocal relationships with First Nations communities regionally. Nipissing’s plan includes developing transformative student programming, while also expanding targeted and integrative research. These aspirations will enhance success outcomes for Indigenous students. At the heart of our vision is a summer institute. This unique program will provide a positive introductory experience for Indigenous high school students considering a post-secondary education. By offering academic, social and cultural supports, the four-week program will ease the transition to a life as a student attending Nipissing. Furthermore, this initiative will serve students from across Ontario, and not just those applying to Nipissing.
